How it Works
The MAP Growth assessment is a research-backed tool that measures a student’s reading, language, and math skills and tracks their academic growth over time. In the MAP-Based Learning Accelerator, we use your child’s MAP results to identify their specific strengths and learning gaps, then create a personalized instruction plan focused on the skills that matter most. Every session is targeted, efficient, and designed to build confidence while improving long-term academic performance.
What we do, step by step
Step 1:
Understand the Data
We begin by reviewing your child’s MAP Growth report, focusing on their RIT scores across key domains such as reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, language conventions, and writing. These scores give us a precise snapshot of your child’s current level—not just by grade, but by specific skill areas. We look for both strengths to build on and learning gaps to address.
Step 2:
Design a Personalized Learning Plan
Using your child’s unique data profile, we create a customized learning plan aligned to their RIT band in each domain. The plan includes specific, skill-targeted goals that match your child’s readiness level—not too easy, not too difficult. Sessions are structured to build confidence while introducing new strategies and vocabulary in a scaffolded, high-impact way.
Step 3:
Accelerate Growth and Track Progress
In each session, we focus on the highest-priority skills to help your child make measurable progress. Instruction is engaging, practical, and directly aligned to MAP skill frameworks. We monitor growth regularly and adjust instruction as needed. Parents receive periodic updates—including progress summaries and recommendations—to stay fully informed and involved.
